SCIENCE, MEDICINE, & SOCIETY

What We Do

At Ba.M.M., we blend biology, chemistry, and engineering to design biomaterials that evolve with the body. Using tools like 3D printing, polymer synthesis, and cellular biology, we create scaffolds that support healing in complex environments, like diabetic bone or hormone-altered tissue. Our work centers on the realities of patients too often overlooked in traditional device design, building toward a future where biomedical materials are smarter, more adaptable, and more human-aware.

Who We Are

We’re a team of students and scientists creating materials that listen to bone, biology, and the body’s changing needs. In the BaMM Lab, we believe healing begins with thoughtful design and shared curiosity. Whether we’re printing scaffolds, culturing cells, or challenging assumptions, we use an interdisciplinary approach to build regenerative solutions that respond to real lives and real challenges.

Where We Are

Our lab is in the Integrated Science Center (ISC) at William & Mary. We are located on the ground floor at ISC 0247.
