Director, Bio-adaptable Musculoskeletal Materials Lab
Assistant Professor, Applied Science
Research foci: Bio-adaptable biomaterials
Doctoral student in Applied Science
M.S., Medical Science
B.S., Pharmacy
Interests: Biomaterial synthesis, 3D Bioprinting, Musculoskeletal repair, Molecular & cellular aspects of diabetic bone, Stem cell therapy & drug delivery.
During my prior research, I worked on ceramic, metallic, and hydrogel-based biocomposites for osteoporotic bone regeneration and spinal fusion. I picked up hands-on expertise in scaffold fabrication, in vitro testing, and in vivo small-animal surgeries. I have published several SCI(E)-indexed papers in biomaterials and tissue engineering. Right now, my work is all about creating innovative biomaterials for musculoskeletal healing, with a focus on mechanobiology and immunomodulatory strategies. Outside the lab, I am into cricket and football, travel, and cycling—and I am a fan of café lattes and comfort foods like biryani.
Doctoral Student in Applied Science
M.S., Advanced Materials
B.S., Biotechnology
Interests: Biomaterials, Stem cells, Bioprinting, Regenerative Medicine, and Musculoskeletal Diseases
My research focuses on developing advanced biomaterials for regenerative medicine, with an emphasis on musculoskeletal health. I work with hydrogel scaffolds, stem cell models, and bioprinting to support tissue repair and functional healing. I am also interested in how biological factors, including sex hormones and metabolic conditions like diabetes, influence tissue maintenance and disease progression. Outside the lab, I enjoy exploring new cultures, sampling local cuisines, and finding inspiration wherever research takes me.
